The news of Ben & Jerry’s dairy-free ice cream took the internet by storm. Some vegans lost their shit at the idea of being reunited with a chunky monkey pint, while others appropriately criticized the frozen food conglomerate for continuing to use animal products in their other products. Either way, people were talking.

And it got the folks at Bon Appétit curious. So, they did the only reasonable thing when confronted by a scary new ice cream, they fed it to children.

Since kids have no filter, they make great test subjects. Watch the video below, and see how the scoops stacked up to their adolescent palates. No need to be polite here, the smell, taste, and difference between dairy and non-dairy options are judged by willing thumbs.

Watch this on The Scene.
Have you had a chance to try the ice cream yet? What do you think of it?

Please do substitute beef for beans, but also have tofu instead of turkey, carrots instead of chicken, and I think you see where I’m going.

Guys, extortion isn’t an effective form of vegan advocacy

Assuming we can extort people into respecting the lives of others makes no sense.
