Mya calls herself a hardcore vegan

Mya’s vegan lifestyle is like…wo.

The R&B star spoke to SOHH about her veganism, shutting down the more popular celebrity diet-centric publicity we’re so tired of. She said, “It is a lifestyle for me and outside of just food, I’m practicing fashion and making sure I’m not wearing leather shoes and I have not worn furs since a long time ago. I have to be very conscious when I’m making decisions and saying I’m vegan because I have to be about it all the way and now that has given me some thought into creating certain things like home décor.” Preach!

Welcome to Mya’s kitchen. I love meal prepping! It’s like art therapy for me. 😍 Raw: Cucumber, spinach, mushroom, onion. Cooked: mushroom, peppers w/onion, curry & turmeric spices, eggplant w/organic maple syrup, rice, all cooked in coconut oil. #eatclean #fountainofyouth #secrets #vegan What’s on your plate? 😋❤️💛💚💙💜😋

The 36-year old singer songwriter still enjoys the benefits of good vegan food, claiming “I look better and feel better than I did a couple of years ago when I was not vegan.” Her instagram hosts a bevy of delicious looking smoothies, salads, and fruit. Going one step further than just sharing the vegan message in interviews and hashtags, she even sells vegan chocolate and wine in bundles with her music. A romantic night in the making, no doubt.

I can’t help but imagine her singing “What’cha gonna do When you can’t say no” to veganism?! Keep it up, Mya!
