The expansion of a vegan footwear brand has fashion aficionados swooning.

Fashion Times reports that Bourgeois Boheme, an independent British footwear brand, officially announced the launch of its U.S. website. The company has made a name for itself in the fashion world as a leader in non-leather footwear, and now it’s ready to take on the States.

Since beginning in 2005, the brand has worked on redefining vegan footwear, making chic androgynous pieces without the use of animals. Designed and crafted in Portugal with eco-friendly leather alternatives, they’ve already found popularity in American publications like Cosmopolitan and Refinery 29. Notable celebrities like Natalie Portman, Torrey DeVitto, and Bryan Adams have also made their fondness for the footwear brand known, both literally and metaphorically helping to bring these shoes to U.S. soil.

“Aside from proving that it is possible to stay independent and provide superior quality products with flexibility, our U.S. site launch is a realization of our long term wish to get closer to our American fans — giving them the luxury European-made vegan shoes they want as quickly and cost-efficiently as they deserve,” Bourgeois Boheme founder Alicia Lai said in a release.

Their patented cotton-backed microfibre polyurethane is as similar to leather as it gets, minus the violence. With an EU Ecolabel, they also use cotton weaved with paper, cork and plant-based polymers, and recycles soles in their line. It’s not hard to get behind a brand that excludes animal skins, and sees the need to lessen their environmental impact at the same time. You could say their soles have soul.

Flats, heels, and boots are available for women, and boots and shoes are both options for men. Better start memorizing your credit cards, so you can order these shoes more quickly.

Jeremy Corbyn’s Vegan “Process”

When we reject human injustice, nobody needs to go on a “journey” to get to that point. Where animals are concerned, we’re all too eager to pack the car, don the sunglasses and go for ride before we see the truth of what has been in front of us the entire time.

A School In Chennai Now Serves All Vegan Meals

The school’s actions have, of course, roused the attention of mainstream nutritionalists who are quick to slate veganism.
