New Vegan Shoe Line has retro style, forward thinking

Like us on Facebook:

There may not have been many vegan alternatives in the sixties, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pinch the decades style.

LA Racked reports on a shoe line you’re about to fall in love with, by Susi Studio. The LA based brand founded by creative director Bianca Moran offers “vegan footwear for the modern woman,” with a retro flare. It’s run by women, made for women, and doesn’t exploit the use of non-human women. We approve.

They’re kicking off with a summer 2016 collection that offers everything from Mary Janes to platforms. With names like Brigitte, Delores, and Miss Mary, it’s easy to channel your favourite sixties starlet when choosing a pair. Prices range from $150 to $250 for the rubber, recycled polyurethane, cotton, canvas, microsuede, and hemp based footwear.

Matilda ll Named after our favorite children’s storybook heroine, SUSI’s patent flats embody the spirited schoolgirl with sugar and sass to boot. The self described feminine, flirty, and versatile line launched this week, and is already set on inspiring others. LA Racked shared that Susi Studio offers a “Start Today” campaign, supporting “women of all walks of life to take the first step to pursue their passion,” like Bianca has. Erin McKenna of NYC’s famous vegan and gluten free bakery Erin McKenna’s Bakery (formerly BabyCakes) is set to be the campaign’s first star.

Animals are not in consent when they die all willy nilly . . . but most boyfriends are usually in consent when coming into their lover’s mouths. I don’t often hear men say, “oh, no! no! please! for the love of god don’t suck my dick!!”

Also, what to me is funny is how as a vegan . . . . a vegan shoe company uses cats to advertise their shoes when cats are carnivores. -__- just put some flowers all up in there <3

It’s funny to me that I have served vegans and vegetarians things that were cooked in bacon grease numerous times just for the hell of it. I’ve done the same to a couple Muslims!

France’s ban of faux-meat branding won’t stop veganism

I’ll take “mycoproteinous food tube” over a tube of dead pig any day.

Concerned about endangered animals? Stop eating them

Methods of animal conservation that support the exploitation of animals don’t exist for the animals, they exist for human profit.

What you can do if live exports disturb you

The outcry should go further than importation and should be directed at the fact that the animals in question were on their way to slaughter in the first place.
