Vegan Food & Drink Festival Serves Over 35,000
Ecorazzi’s Vegan Food & Drink Festival proved third time’s a charm with 2017 marking our third season of events landing in three major cities. With a highly curated list of vendors in each, the shows drew a record numbers of vegan and vegan curious guests.
Things kicked off on June 10th, where ten thousand took over Grant Park in Chicago.
The hot summer day welcomed thirst quenching drinks, our first oversees vendor, and a push-up contest that proved once and for all that vegans get enough protein. Guests also got the first crack at our epic VEGAN sign, scales of justice, and other art installations around the park. The windy city may have huffed and puffed, but it was the crowd that blew us away. Check out the entire Chicago photo gallery here.
On August 19th, close to twelve thousand filled Fort York in Toronto.
The home and native land branch of the festival debuted pizza from another province, the very possible Impossible burgers, and a hometown hero, Lauren Toyota, on the mic. Each year we think it can’t get any better, but it does! Check out the entire Toronto photo gallery here.
On October 1st, a record breaking crowd almost hit fifteen thousand at Randall’s Island in NYC.
This fest was definitely the icing on the vegan cake, and a perfect way to end the season. Everyone was excited to sample vegan wings from Chicago, local sandwich mash-ups, and the first pumpkin-spiced desserts of the season. We even had one-of-a-kind vegan items go from festival specials to permanent menu items. In a park that typically hosts large-scale music festivals, we definitely left a serious vegan mark. The vegan food hangover is real and we’re counting down the days until we get to do it all over again. New cities will be added to the 2018 calendar, so be sure to follow the festival on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for the first release of details and early bird tickets.
