Keira Knightley was spotted around town with the “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” purse. It’s from the environmental line of Anya Hindmarch, and it’s most definitely sold out.
The purse is made from cotton, no word on if it is organic (that would only make sense, but it is not mentioned anywhere), and costs only £5. Good luck getting your hands on one, however. It’s been featured all over the UK media and the pre-orders are completely out. It is expected to be ready for purchase in retail stores this month.
“I’m Not a Plastic Bag” was designed in collaboration with We Are What We Do, a movement to inspire people to use their everyday actions to save the world. Action number one is “Decline Plastic Bags Wherever Possible” – amen! They state that the each person in the UK uses up to 167 bags a year – 10 billion annually in total. So bring your own!
Keira is doing it in style. Don’t wait for this cutie bag to be available, however. Start today with bags you have at home, and decline those plastic bags at the grocery store and the mall.
