Hearing the name Daisy Fuentes brings back fond memories of watching MTV in the 90s; especially the Spring Break specials. I think every male in their teens during that time had a crush on her at some point.
Anyways, Fuentes is adding a touch of green to her television resume by hosting the upcoming series The EcoZone Project in which a team of eco experts invade the homes of celebrities and give them a earth-friendly makeover. With home makeovers (and series like Queer Eye For The Straight Guy) making the rounds, it was simply a matter of time before something like this invaded the green movement. From the article,
“Each show will consist of a dozen “eco tips” that viewers can relate to and carry out in their own homes. Also, each episode will involve a thematic project in addition to the tips. The products, tips and alterations the team presents will show viewers how easy it is to make a contribution to a safer environment.
The inaugural show will feature the members of the Green Team meeting at a natural cafe in LA called “Leaf Cuisine” where they discuss the plans for the Livingston home makeover. Once they determine the transformation, Green Team members including Ryan Sutter, exit the cafe and mount their Cannondale Road Warrior 400 bicycles as their environmental friendly vehicles.”
The bicycles are a nice touch; however if they plan on riding down PCH towards Malibu, I’d consider a generous life insurance plan.
This should be a fun show. As we wrote earlier, we would love to see a program of this nature for us average folk (We’re pretty sure Ron Livingston can afford solar panels); but applaud the concept for getting out there in the first place. Just for Daisy, you can bet that I’ll be watching….
