Katie Holmes is back to her gorgeous-self and appeared happy in the company of her soon-to-be husband, Tom Cruise at the Annual Charity Black Ball for the Keep A Child Alive foundation last night. We blogged about this upcoming event last month.

Live performances by Alicia Keys, David Bowie, Angelique Kidjo, and others capped off the star-studded night. Additional guests included Iman, Rachel Roy, Damon Dash, Helena Christensen, David Bowie, Anne Hathaway, Elijah Wood, Gayle King, Russell Simmons, Kimora Lee Simmons, Wanda Sykes, and Edward Norton.

Tables didn’t come cheap — $50K for the Black/Gold Table and $25K for the Onyx Table. VIP tickets alone cost $2,500; while the concert was available for $250 a head. This event honored Richard D. Beckman, president of Condé Nast Media Group; Partners in Health; and Carol Dyantyl of Ikageng Ministries in Soweto, South Africa.Keep A Child Alive are the folks behind the I Am African Campaign that so many celebs have contributed their visages to.
