Ecorazzi Turns Two! The Training Wheels Come Off!
Hard to believe, but this month Ecorazzi turns two years old. It’s been quite the ride since the site was first conceived back in 2006 — and 3,500 posts and millions of visits later, we’re still having a blast reporting on the latest in green gossip and beyond.
To celebrate, we’re hooking up with some of the best green companies out there and giving away a plethora of delicious, eco-friendly swag. Check our list below to find out how to play and celebrate with us!

It’s your birthday. Why are you giving us presents?
Because we wouldn’t be here without the support of our readers, organizations, and sister sites! You’ve given us so much over the past couple years that we though it only right to include YOU in the celebration. Besides, while it may be our birthday, it’s also your un-birthday. So, Happy Un-Birthday to you!
Wait, aren’t you just increasing the amount of crap I already have in my house?
We hope not. By putting these participating green companies in the spotlight, we’re hoping you’ll replace some of the non-sustainable items you might have in your home (when they’re time has come) and go green with these guys instead. We also encourage you not to enter any of the contests if you honestly do not need what we’re giving away.
Won’t the shipping of these products contribute to more CO2 emissions?
Unfortunately, that’s true. We’re doing two things to mitigrate the impact of this celebration by a.) only having the items shipped once from their place of origin and b.) offsetting the emissions of shipment by keeping track of their destinations and donating cash to TerraPass to take care of the rest.
How do I enter the contests?
Simply leave a comment about the product under its post!
So what are the contest rules?
First off, many thanks to Jetson Green for guidance on these.
Must be 18 years of age to enter.
One comment per person per article.
If no time window of eligibility is stated in the article, comments will be open for 72 hours. Any comments received after that will not be eligible.
Make sure the email address you use to comment is valid.
Giveaways are only available to addresses/people within the U.S.
Ecorazzi will pick a random number from a pool of numbers equaling the total number of comments.
Ecorazzi will email the winner and ship the product to the address provided in the commenter’s responsive email.
Shipping is on Ecorazzi.
If we don’t hear from the commenter within twenty-four (24) hours, we’ll go ahead and pick another number from the hat.
Promo is not available to any writers of Ecorazzi.
No substitutions for cash are permitted with these giveaways.
Winners are responsible for any tax consequences of winning.

I really really really want to win the Jurlique giveaway. I love your site and the positive manner that it encourages (and sometimes scathes) being green and those who do (and occasionally don’t). Jurlique is amazing and I just can’t afford it right now. The kid starting school, vegetarian lunch and dinners, braces! It’s enough to make me not care that my skin is lacking the love it needs. All worth it though as I watch my daughter grow into the activist who turned our house and most of those around her while expounding how not eating meat is the easiest way to make the world a better place. So please toss my name in the hat so I don’t have to ask for Jurlique samples any longer.

I LOVE EcoRazzi and VegNews, both are endless sources of great v-info. I’ve was a vegetarian for 5 years before I became vegan in May. I’ve never felt better or more empowered! It’s a great conversation starter when eating out with old and new friends; I love talking about all of the reasons I begame veg. I enjoy sharing information with anybody who asks and I love knowing that I am doing my best to help the Earth and it’s animals.

This the best mode of transport since walking

I have been lobbying our local government to make our community bicycle/pedestrian/electric cart friendly by including pathways in furture builds and when re-vamping old roads. If we can make it easier for people to get around in ways that are “green”, they’ll do it.
Commuting in San Francisco and the Bay Area has become more and more difficult (can’t take bicycles on public transport during rush hour?). This bike would be perfect!
Strange, I was just looking for reviews last week on this bike and now I find one being given away. I need it.
These bikes look like so much fun…I like the happy yellow one the best!
I walk or ride a bike whenever I can. It’s not only green but has allowed me to get my weight down to a good level.
This would come in handy while working in the city. Would really help out on a short commute.

Personally I buy bus passes for $15 instead of a tank of gas for my older Chrysler. I can ride the bus for a month for the same price as a tank of gas. The only thing I give up is some time.
I do all my errands in one trip if possible. Then having this will help me live green and get into shape. 15 mph for some thing so small…wow Hope I win

I have been walking 6 miles a day to work!
I now work at home - as a SAHM and sace gast this way. If my “work day” requires and errand, I walk to a nearby store.
For more then a decade before the birth of my first child, I took a combination of bus/metro to work and walked part of the way as well even if it took me longer then most. The great thing is, when you do this, you’re very time conscious and get to work early! Which doesn’t seems to matter as much in the South West - very laid back.
I walk, and i live in Scottsdale AZ; but thank God it’s cooling off finally, so it’s not as bad as it was. Summer is feeling like it’s over and it was technically over a few months ago!
