The seeds are a renewable resource, the jewelry is made by local women working cooperatively, and all profits from the sale here are sent back to the artisans and their community. I’m retired and I worked with two women from Colombia to get the project off the ground. I’m providing the marketing for it here, and operating the website as a charitable venture. The women use a variety of local seeds (shown on the website) and the range of possible styles is virtually unlimited. They also work with local fibers (including hemp), and can incorporate wire of various sorts. If you have your own designs or would like to modify any shown on our website or elsewhere, please call or email me. I can discuss prices and production of samples. No one seems to consider that all people who care about our world are not thin! I'm hurt that again in the face of so much caring for the world and its animals, no one ever considers that some of us are being horribly discriminated against by the very companies who advertise crueltt free! If that isn't cruel; I don't know what is!!!!
