Jason Priestley, who has been collecting fine wines for 20 years, translated his passion for wine into a partial ownership position in Black Hills Estate Winery. The 27 acre vineyard located in the hills on British Columbia’s Black Sage Bench boasts rugged desert earth, long sunlight hours, and cool nights – the perfect melody for yielding intensely flavored grapes.
The winery produces one of British Columbia’s top wines, Nota Bene. This coveted Bordeaux-style blend, made from cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and cabernet franc grapes, is Priestley’s favorite and has been known to sell out in less than an hour from the moment of release.
Black Hills Estate Winery was selected as one of the elite wines to be served on the Alberta Train and in the Alberta House during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
