Maine and Michigan Pass Anti-Confinement Laws
In 2009, both Maine and Michigan followed California’s lead and passed legislation prohibiting veal crates for calves and gestation crates for breeding pigs. Michigan took it a step further by outlawing battery cages for hens.
What the Proposition 2 is going on?! Will other states follow suit? We think (and hope) so!
