In April, Grenier attended the Clinton Foundation’s Millennium Network in Los Angeles–a gathering of more than 600 service-minded young professionals from all over the world who came together to address the most pressing issues of our time.

Adrian recently recorded a PSA for the Clinton Foundation to encourage young people to get more involved. In the video, he says:

“At the event, President Clinton asked us to be the “How Generation”–to help come up with the answers to the big questions of our time. How do you fight HIV/AIDS in Africa? How do you put a stop to Climate Change? How can we ensure that children live happy, healthy lives?”

The extended version of the Matt Damon explosion we all saw early last week is now online — something every HBO On-Demand subscriber will tell you they’ve already seen. Whatever. I’m poor.

There’s obviously a bit more here than the tease we had last week which fully reveals that the whole thing was staged. Jeremy Piven finally adds some hilarious input as well.

A new video has surfaced on YouTube featuring Matt Damon losing his cool with Adrian Grenier during a PSA shoot for the organization OneXOne. It’s been known for months now that Damon would have a guest appearance on Entourage promoting his clean water organization — but we’re not exactly sure if this is part of that scene, a funny outtake, or something more serious.

Of course, many of you are rolling your eyes at this moment — simply because this isn’t the first time Damon has pulled off pissed off. Back in 2006, the 38-year-old actor made a scene at the end of Jimmy Kimmel Live when he was cut-off from appearing at the end. It was hilarious — and so believable, that some people thought it was real.

Anyways, in this clip, we see some of the actors from Entourage in the background — including Jeremy Piven (who appears very much in character) and Kevin Connolly. Grenier keeps stumbling over his lines for the PSA and Damon keeps getting frustrated and eventually blows up. The only thing that’s odd is that at one point Damon calls Grenier by his real name — and not his character’s. And Adrian asks at one point if he should do it as himself or as Vince.

Anyways, we’re going with well done, but fake. What do you think? [Warning: Strong language]

You probably know that Adrian Grenier is an actor and environmentalist, but it might come as a surprise that he can also bang the drums. The Entourage star joined his fellow musicians in launching a new band at the Wanderlust festival called the Honey Brothers.

Obviously, the group is making an effort to keep their tour as green as possible — and with Grenier keeping the green beat, we’ve no doubt they’ll pull it off. If you can get by the awful-Martian jokes in the beginning, check out the video below of Grenier with bandmate Andrew Vladeck talking about their eco-ways.

The stars came out yesterday for the New York city premiere of the dolphin documentary The Cove, starring Hayden Panettiere and Isabel Lucas. In attendance were Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, and Adrian Grenier — who made the gossip fly by accompanying former flame Lucas.

The movie is a heart-wrenching affair and documents the more than 23,000 dolphins killed in one little cove in Taigi, Japan, each year. Back in November of 2007, Panettiere and Lucas joined several other activists in paddling out to the cove in an attempt to stop the slaughter of a pod of dolphins. Japanese fisherman cut off the group and they were forced to return to the shore due to escalating violence. (You can see some harsh video of the confrontation here.)

After the premiere, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., actor Fischer Stevens, Netscape founder Jim Clark and Mr. O’ Barry sat in front of the audience to take questions. According to the New York Observer, Kennedy told the group, “All people have to do is see this, and it’s going to change because it’s so outrageous what is happening there. They’re destroying public health, they’re destroying 23,000 dolphins a year, they’re slaughtering them in the most inhuman, awful way, they’re subverting democracy, they’re corrupting democratic institutions across the world.”

The Cove will hit theaters on July 31st in New York City and Los Angeles. Hit the jump below to view the trailer.

For those that regularly watch the hilarious HBO series Entourage, you know that real-life celebrities often make appearances in the fictional world of superstar Vincent Chase and his rat pack of friends. In keeping with that tradition both Matt Damon and LeBron James will star on the season finale this coming October — with the former getting the opportunity to pimp out his OneXOne charity. In his cameo, the star does whatever it takes to get donations for his real-life charity.

“The joke is that Matt is very passionate about his charity — almost in a stalkerish kind of way,” Adrian Grenier, who plays movie star Vince, said. “Vince becomes intimated by his intensity. He ends up bullying Vince into giving much more than he should.”

Costar Emmanuelle Chriqui, who plays Sloan, added: “Matt gets Vince to make a massive donation. He’s like, ‘Bro – whip out your checkbook!’”

Apparently, it wasn’t difficult for producers to get Damon involved. “Matt came on the phone with me and wanted to do something that focused on his charity, One By One, which helps kids all over the world,” said Executive Producer Doug Ellin.

Sounds like a clever way to mix fiction with reality. Let’s hope the attention gives OneXOne a nice boost.

“It’s a constant struggle, it’s about habits. We are habitual creatures and people don’t always want to change. They only want to do what they know,” Grenier told FOX News at the Salvatore Ferragamo soiree in Beverly Hills to support GlobalGiving’s Italy Earthquake Recovery and Relief Fund. “At one point, we wanted to use all bio-diesel generators on-set, but its just not viable as the technology isn’t up to par. So what we did was just replace one generator. It’s a slow process of transformation.”

In his personal life, however, things are greener than ever. “The fact that the Obama’s put a garden at the White House is not only a symbolic gesture, but it’s also a very tangibly successful one. I just put in a garden myself, I was inspired,” he added. “I’m growing zucchini, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries and corn.”

Adrian Grenier is expanding his green empire into the mobile world.

The Entourage star and host of Planet Green’s Alter-Eco series is planning on dropping a new eco-friendly app that will help consumers weigh products’ environmental and health impact. Called “Ecohero”, it’s being developed by the same Texas-based firm that created the popular shopping comparison app ShopSavvy. From the Forbes article,

Ecohero will also contain other functions, such as a carbon calculator and eco-encyclopedia. To encourage users to live environmentally, the app will record their (submitted) activity and suggest eco-friendly ways they can offset their activities. “We wanted to provide a social way to use the apps,” Muse says. On-screen, the app resembles a “utility belt” that rotates with the swipe of a finger. It will launch this fall with six “micro-applications.” The group plans to add more “tools” to the belt in the future, including “lite” versions of existing eco-friendly mobile apps.

For those not familiar with ShopSavvy, the app uses the mobile phone’s camera to take a snapshot of a product’s barcode. That information is then sent over the web and shoppers can find out where to get that particular item for a cheaper price. Grenier’s app plans to implement the same system — but you’ll be able to see just how green (or non-green) that particular brand of orange juice is. Sounds like a pretty cool addition to all the other wild programs out there.

If all goes well (sponsors are still be lined up), expect Ecohero to hit the iPhone and Android this coming August.

Remember when Brad Pitt hooked up with Kiehl’s on a new “biodegradable body cleanser” to support environmental initaitives? Well the company is reaching out to some additional celebs to help with their Earth Day initiative to benefit the Waterkeeper Alliance. Adrian Grenier, Erykah Badu, Kelly Slater and a team of students from Parsons The New School for Design have all lent their art skills in designing new unique labels for Kiehl’s “Superbly Restorative Argan Body Lotion”. The lotion is made with fairly-traded, organic, Moroccan Argan Oil and Argan Leaf Extract, and the bottles are made from 100% Post Consumer Recycled packaging. 100% of net proceeds from the sale of the lotion will benefit Waterkeeper.

The Limited Edition bottles will be available in Kiehl’s free-standing stores and Kiehls.com on April 20th, in time for Earth Day 2009. Each is $55.
