Rumor has it that our buds over at PETA are launching an investigation into reports that Beyonce abandoned her pet Shih Tzu with staff at her New York record company a year ago.

A Columbia source tells MusicToob.com that label employees have been looking after Beyonce’s dog, stating, “They are taking turns to take Munchie for walks and take it home on the evenings and weekends. Everyone realizes that Beyonce has been incredibly busy recently, recording and promoting her Sasha Fierce album. But the whole team will be glad when she eventually takes charge of the dog for herself again.”

PETA hasn’t released much information, but a spokesperson confirmed, “We have an inquiry in with Columbia.”

While Beyonce doesn’t have a great reputation with animal-issues (see also: obsessed with fur) we’re hoping that Sasha Fierce turns out to be a responsible pet owner! More news as we learn it…

Naomi Campbell may be known as a bad-tempered diva, but she’s also been known to have her better moments. One example might be her third annual Fashion for Relief Charity Show on Wednesday. Part of London Fashion Week, the event was co-created with the Prime Minister’s wife Sarah Brown, and benefited the White Ribbon Alliance, a charity that saves the lives of pregnant women and babies in developing countries. It seems to have been quite successful, with Katherine Jenkins‘ dress raising £1,000 and Cameron Diaz’s boyfriend, Paul Sculfor, auctioning a date with himself for £1,500.

Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jimmy Fallon, Julianne Moore, Patti LaBelle, and “Gossip Girl” stars Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen attended the 9th annual New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala on Tuesday. The event benefited youth foster care in New York.

So in the spirit of Movies Rock I’ll close with that famous line: “I drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee ran dry.” Well if Chevy keeps this up and helps to reduce on global warming, maybe next time that levee won’t be so damn dry.
