Cindy Crawford may be super famous and adored by millions, but she revealed it’s her kids who have an enormous amount of power over her when it comes to making green lifestyle decisions. “They go to a school that’s very green”, revealed Cindy as she discussed the pressure the kids put on her to make “cool” choices. If she even attempts to use a plastic bag, the kids ask her what she’s doing and remind her to use her cloth bags. Cindy remains in her post as spokesperson for PUR Water Filtration, so I”m hoping she’s teaching the kids’ school a thing or two about plastic bottles.

I also hope this trend around the nation continues to grow, where green schools are not only helping the environment but educating the kids. Kids do yield super power in influencing their parents, and when they come home talking about being green…parents will listen and learn. Now, what about the fundraising in schools where you have to buy all that damn virgin-forest gift wrapping paper? Do they still do this in schools near you?

Crawford designed her own eco-chic reusable water bottle — with all proceeds from the sales going towards Children’s Safe Drinking Water; a program which is dedicated to providing safe drinking water to impoverished children around the world.

We’ve had some people asking where they can purchase the bottle — and we can honestly say that the campaign does not make it easy. Neither the charity nor the PUR site have any direct links to the purchasing page, so we had to do some hoop jumping to find what we were looking for.

So, if you’re wanting to quench your thirst for some helpful change, hit the purchasing page for Crawford’s official bottle here.

Just kidding Cindy, there’s enough cyber-space for all of us!

That’s right folks, Cindy Crawford is now officially a blogger! It’s recently been announced that Cindy will be blogging for VanityFair.com throughout the month of April to dish about her family’s lifestyle changes and her partnership with PUR water filters.

In one of her first blogs, Cindy talks about her Thirsty for Change program (which Ecorazzi mentioned earlier) and tells us: ” Next month, the PUR “Thirsty for Change” Web site and bottle will launch, and proceeds from every bottle purchased will go towards the Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program, which helps provide clean drinking water to impoverished children around the world. “

Cindy also explains her green inspiration: “…my eco-awakening happened after I had kids. As a mother, you obviously want to feel good about the Earth you’re leaving to your children, but there was something else going on as well: my kids were making me feel guilty! They go to a very environmentally aware school, where they do beach clean-ups and hand out cloth bags and reusable bottles. I guess it’s part of living in Malibu, but I think my kids would look down on me if they caught me wasting plastic.

Here at the Razz, we’re always excited to see another celebrity go green and we can’t frigin’ wait to read more of your blogs. Welcome to the club!
