Razzi Snap: X-Files DVD Pulls Back Curtain On Green Production

I haven’t seent the new X-Files flick — I Want To Believe — mainly because I heard it was a pretty bad film. However, some folks have scooped up the DVD and are reporting that there’s a fairly in-depth bonus feature on how the producers took the production green. Said one tipster Amy, “Apparently, it was very important to the creator, Chris Carter, to do that–everything from using green generators, hybrids for all transpo, biodegradable utensils, etc. He narrates the segment and it’s great to see!” Damnit, now I might have to Netflix it. Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is set to rock the stage at the Recording Industry Association of America’s Presidential Inauguration Charity Ball on January 20. The event will help raise millions for this season’s charity rockstar, Feeding America.
Remember that used tissue that Scarlett Johansson was auctioning off on behalf of USA Harvest, a hunger-relief organization? Yea, well it just sold for $5,300! Actor David Spade recently surprised the Phoenix Police Department with a donation of $100,000. Will this money go towards funding programs to help with poverty or drug rehabilitation? Nope. It will buy about 50 high-powered rifles. Spade, a Phoenix native, provided the money to a non-profit police foundation after seeing a jarring television news report about gun violence. The unfortunate reality is that criminals often have better weapons than officers. So, he’s hoping to level the field with this donation. Oh, and I’m scratching Phoenix off of my “places to live”.
