Fiona Apple Loves Animals…And She Isn’t “Fooling” Around

Fiona Apple is pretty damn cool! Besides rocking some phat tunes, Fiona is a dedicated vegan and a die-hard animal lover. So not surprisingly, Fiona spent her April Fool’s Day pitching in at a local animal shelter.
The Grammy Award-winning star donated some of her time to the Green Chimneys facility in Brewster, New York, which is an animal shelter that focuses on animal-assisted therapy for children.
A source tells MSNBC’s The Scoop, “(Apple) raked and mucked the goat’s area, cleaned out stalls, fed animals.” “When she was offered an umbrella, she said, ‘No, I’m actually enjoying standing out in the rain.’”
As always, Ecorazzi salutes Fiona and all the other big-hearted celebrities who take a litte time to get their hands dirty every now and then. Good work!
