Celine Dion Has A Shoe Obsession!!

I wasn’t afraid to bust Mary J. and I’m certainly not afraid to bust Celine.

Celine Dion really confessed that she is totally obsessed with shoes! Celine said, “My hobbies are shopping and golfing. I own between two and three thousand pairs of shoes.” That means that her closet (and/or closets) consists of like 6,000 individual shoes. WHAT???

That’s cool if you like shoes — I get it! But no single person needs that much of anything. If I was Celine I would go to Soles4Souls.org and join actors like Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle who have all donated some of their own footwear. 

Seriously Celine, you won’t wear like 75 percent of those!

Razzi Snap: Jessica Alba Shows Off Her Green Nursery

We’ve pretty much reached the saturation point in covering Jessica Alba’s green nursery plans. But just to cap it all off (and kudos to the media for promoting her eco-ambitions), Celebrity Baby Blog have posted a full scan from US Weekly of Alba’s completed baby room. They also have a nice list of almost everything inside and where to buy it. Her baby girl is due late May/early June. [Check it here…]

Al Gore is once again under attack with claims that he’s pushing forward an “alarmist agenda” after he spoke on NPR’s Fresh Air. In the interview, Gore included the recent devastating Myanmar Cyclone in a list of current natural events that may be linked to Global Warming. The way media outlets like FOX and others have spun it, however, it sounds like he singled out only Myanmar as proof of climate change. You be the judge — have a listen to the radio clip here. Attention Celebrities! The next-generation Toyota Prius will be unveiled at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show in January of next year. It’s expected to be a bit larger, but have lower emissions than the previous model and a few more MPGs. With a barrel of oil now trading above $125, this can’t come soon enough. [Read more…]

Actress Laura Dern recently hired Green Life Guru, a Los Angeles–based environmental-services company, to evaluate the eco-fitness of her house. She was advised on solar paneling and water filtration — but realized greening the home-front just wasn’t enough. Now, she and a bunch of other parents are working with the company to help eliminate chemical-ridden carpeting and pesticides at their children’s school and introduce composting and recycling programs. Celebrity Designer Offers Special Earth Day Necklace

Access Hollywood recently reported that Robyn Rhodes, whose jewelry has been seen on the likes of Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Eva Longoria, has designed a necklace with model and actress Josie Maran in honor of this years Earth Day. 

Robyn recently told Access “I thought actually to name it the Rumi necklace after Josie’s daughter.”

The bling retails at $120 for the sterling silver version and $126 for 14K gold with 20 percent of the proceeds going to the environmental protection group Global Green USA.

Want A Peek At What’s Inside Jessica Alba’s Green Nursery?

As we mentioned earlier this week, actress Jessica Alba’s baby shower was a celebratory — and green — affair with friends and family. The 26-year-old is on a eco-friendly streak for her nursery and has piled high a list of organic and sustainable goods for her newborn.

Alba is registered at Bel Bambini on Robertson who prides itself in carrying a variety of green products including baby skin care, furniture and apparel. Her interior decorator for the nursery, Kari Whitman, is relying heavily on Bel Bambini for cool swag from companies like Sage Creek Organics, Cariboo, and Born Free. “We’re doing everything eco-friendly,” she told US weekly.

Jessica Alba Gives Away Some Organic TastyBaby(s)

Mother-to-be Jessica Alba had her baby shower yesterday and Marie Claire is reporting that the actress wasn’t the only one receiving gifts. Amidst the delicacies of tiger shrimp, chocolate strawberries, and mini eclairs, Alba handed out a goody bag, provided by organic baby food company Tastybaby, which included recipe books and children’s toys. From the website,

“The entire concept of Tastybaby was borne out of our values and philosophies on life! The things we hold most dear are the health and well-being of our children and the planet they are going to inherit. Giving our babies what we believe to be the best possible start in life is so important to us, and now with Tastybaby, we are especially proud that we are able to share this gift with our customers.”

Celebs in attendance at the shower included Alba’s sister, Jaime King and Kim Kardashian. According to MC, Jessica walked away with stacks of gifts including a cradle, a basket of Dr. Seuss books, clothing and flowers. She is expecting in June.

Jessica Alba Wants A Cleaner Earth In New Obama Video

As a follow-up to his wildly successful Barack Obama “Yes We Can” video, Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas has put together another music video featuring some new faces pushing for the presidential-hopeful. Titled “We Are The Ones”, celebrity cameos include Jessica Alba, Ryan Phillippe, Kerry Washington, John Leguizamo, Regina King, Tyrese Gibson, Eric Mabius, Tichina Arnold, Adrienne Palicki, Forest Whitaker, and many others. Alba in particular in concerned for the planet saying,

“I would like to see a cleaner Earth for my child that I’m bringing into the world very soon,” she says. “I would like the rest of the world to think highly of our amazing country.”

Jessica Alba Goes Green For Her New Baby

What’s black and white and read all over? A newspaper. What’s green and tan and pregnant all over? Jessica Alba! That’s right kiddies, the very desirable and very pregnant actress, Jessica Alba, is going GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!!! 

Alba has gone on record with her commitment to set a good example for her unborn child, so that they will grow up respecting the environment.  She said, “I drive a Prius and I try to recycle as much as I can, I bought a house, and I’m doing all eco-friendly renovations. Most of my furniture is old, and I’m refurbishing it. “I’m even taking stuffing from old couches and making my pillows out of that. Kids are going to do just about anything - I’ve seen them put cockroaches in their mouths - so I want to make things as non-toxic as possible, within reason. I’m not going to be a crazy person about it, but I think it’s important to be aware of it.”

Hmm? Well I don’t know about that cockroach thing, but everything else sounds pretty amazing to me. Truthfully though, I’m a little jealous of toddler Alba and his/her natural born luckiness! Not only does Jessica’s kid get to have the hottest mom ever, but now he/she also gets to be Super Eco-Baby! I guess that’s better than being Toxic Waste Baby or Non-Biodegradable Baby. But Jessica, if you teach your kid to blog we’re gonna have to sit down for a chat. Green or not, I don’t want Super Eco-Baby stealing my thunder!
