All across the board we’re seeing celebs (as well as some of pretty awesome “common” folk) set a new standard for eco-living. But of course not EVERYONE is getting on the green train. In fact some famous faces are staying away from it completely. The Chicago Tribune recently posted their top 8 LEAST green celebrities and I bet you won’t believe who’s on the list!!

Counting down…

8. Bill Gates- While this guy does a lot for charity (which we love), it’s estimated that his global impact is 10,000 greater than the average person. WTF?

7. David and Victoria Beckham- We totally called this one! Last year, David flew more than 250,000 miles, is the owner of 15 cars and owns several homes. Add that all together, and he created about 18 times more carbon dioxide than the average person.

6. Madonna- Jeez! We called this one as well! Water bottles aside, in the past year she has created more than 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide!

5. John Travolta- John Travolta owns five planes, including a Boeing 707 complete with multiple dining rooms, and it’s estimated he has an annual carbon footprint that’s about 100 times more than the average person.

Hungry for more? To see the rest of the list scoot on over to chicagotribune.com. The remaining four might surprise you. I’ll give one clue — we DEFINITELY predicted number one!

Oprah Winfrey’s new reality show, Big Give, is getting some help from actress Jennifer Aniston. The show — which premieres March 2nd — challenges 10 people to help change the lives of complete strangers. At the end of the challenge, the contestants will be judged on their leadership, accomplishments, creativity and presentation with one “giver” being eliminated. The judges include “world-renowned “Naked Chef” and philanthropist Jamie Oliver, NFL star Tony Gonzalez, and Malaak Compton-Rock, charity founder and the wife of comedian Chris Rock.”

Aniston will join John Travolta, Jada Pinkett-Smith, tennis legend Andre Agassi, skateboarder Tony Hawk and racing star Danica Patrick in assisting the contestants with the various challenges. Judge Jaime Oliver couldn’t be more thrilled to work with her again — after meeting her and then-husband Brad Pitt at a private dinner party he helped cook for. From the article,

“‘Jennifer’s a friend of mine, she’s a beautiful, beautiful character,’ he tells OK!. ‘She was perfect to be a part of Oprah’s Big Give because that’s her personality — she’s a beautiful, giving person. It was lovely to have her involved, to have a friend be involved in the same show as me, and she comes along to one of the shows to pat the winners on the back.’”

No doubt that as with anything Oprah touches, this 8-episode series should be a big hit. Obviously, we really love the concept of helping out others in need and having Winfrey spearhead this effort is wonderful. Let’s hope there’s another season of giving in the works.

One of my best (or possibly worst) attributes as a dude is that I kind of hate sports. Therefore, Super Bowl Sunday means about as much to me as global warming does to Pat Sajak. However, if I WAS a football fan I would totally be into this:

CharityFolks.com, an online auction website, has just announced that they will be auctioning off tickets for the 2008 Super Bowl. So why does Ecorazzi care? Well, because not only do they have regular tickets, but they also have VIP tickets for some of the hottest celebrity infused Super Bowl parties of the year. You can bid for a chance to attend events like Carmen Electra’s Leather and Laces party, John Travolta’s Saturday Night Spectacular co-hosted by Marshall Faulk, a golf foursome at linebacker Lawrence Taylor’s Celebrity Golf Challenge at the Phoenician, VIP Tickets to the Pro Players Gala, and a viewing party in Las Vegas at Jay Z’s 40/40 Club.

All the cash collected will benefit The EarthLab Foundation ,which raises awareness for the ongoing climate crisis and provides the most widely used carbon calculator in the world. So if you’re a fan of the game, or friends with a fan, head on down to CharityFolks.com and check out all their pimped out Super Bowl offerings. Oh, and then email me who wins…or who’s even playing for that matter.
