Disney Tweens Go Green With “Send It On” Eco Pop Song

It was hard for me to write that title without rolling my eyes at least a little bit.

Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers recently teamed up to record Send It On — an eco pop song that is part of Disney’s “Friends for Change: Project Green” initiative.

The Project Green campaign encourages kids to think about the planet and take action to help lower their carbon footprint. So far more than 350,000 kids have taken the green pledge to recycle, reuse, unplug, bicycle etc.

100% of the proceeds from iTunes’ sales (it’s currently number 5 on the iTunes chart) will benefit environmental causes through its Worldwide Conservation Fund.

While I’m jazzed as hell to see young hollywood getting involved with the green scene, it all just seems so damn precious! Watch the video below and tell us what YOU think? Effective activism or just another greenwashing stunt? Chime in and share your thoughts!

Jonas Brothers Offer VIP Meet-And-Greets To Raise Cash For Charity

Last year, the Jonas Brothers were the top fundraising group on the site CharityFolks.com — bringing in over $500,000 for their personal charity, Change for the Children Foundation.

For their new 100-city tour about to kick off, the boys are once again hooking up with the site and offering 4 VIP tickets to meet-and-greet backstage. All of the money raised will go to programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and the will to succeed.

Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus Help Launch Disney’s Friends For Change Effort

Hot on the heels of their successful tree planting tie-in with the film EARTH, Disney is today launching a new multiplatform environmental initiative that will help kids help the planet. Called “Friends for Change“, the year-long campaign will give kids practical ways to preserve the planet, track each participant’s collective impact and have the opportunity to vote on how $1 million in donations from Disney will be divided and invested in various environmental causes over the course of a year.

As expected, Disney Channel stars are coming out in force to promote the initiative. First up are two commercials from the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. Check them out below — or visit the official site here for more information!

The Jonas Brothers Record Holiday PSA For The Salvation Army

If I was a 13-year-old girl I would totally be screaming my face off right now, becauseThe Jonas Brothers are working with the Salvation Army to help raise awareness for the Online Kettle program.

The Salvation Army says that, “the Red Kettles have been an American tradition since 1891, and now this campaign allows you to host your own Online Red Kettle. By helping us fill our Red Kettles, you can become a vital part of our Christmas efforts to help those in need this Christmas season.”

While I think it’s great that they’re raising money for the poor, I’m a little shocked that they still say “Christmas” season and not “Holiday” season, right? There are so many religions out there, why not celebrate them all? Anyway, that’s just a side note! Check out the Jonas Brothers video below!

The Jonas Brothers Get Political With Ellen DeGeneres And Declare Yourself

From purity rings to wholesome lyrics, those Jonas Brothers are just so darn precious. (Insert mild sarcasm, curious eyebrow raise and distant E True Hollywood theme music foreshadowing a rather boring, yet anticipated, fall from grace.)

Whether you like it or not, many of today’s tweens looks up to the Jonas boys like Sarah Palin might to Charlton Heston or Satan. And speaking of Sarah Palin, the latest good deed brought to you care of the J-Boys is an effort to get more of America’s youth excited about the voting process.

To do this, the two age eligible brothers have recently registered to vote thanks to Ellen DeGeneres and Declare Yourself. In case you aren’t up on all things Ellen, the talkshow host is super excited about the upcoming election and has teamed up with Declare Yourself to register people live on her show during the month of September.

These days it seems like all of Hollywood is getting involved in the election, and most recently Ecorazzi told you how Jessica Alba was even getting topless, gagged and taped up for the Declare Yourself campaign.

The teen sensation Jonas Brothers and their mom, Denise Jonas, recently attended a press conference for Change for the Children – an organization they formed to encourage kids and adolescents to effectively manage their diabetes.

Nick Jonas, the youngest JoBro, has diabetes himself and in the past has performed with his brothers at local children’s hospitals. They were all spotted in NYC, with a ginormous check in their hands- for $100,000.
