“Kanye West is the person pissing me off right now. I was at Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Paul McCartney and Kanye West. The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show’. He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney! I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’ There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.”

- Pink spewing some serious fighting words in the July issue of FHM Australia. Sounds to us like Kanye needs a little PETA action all up in his biznitch. I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but fur is never, never, never, never, never, never cool. Don’t make us send the troops! 

Blogging like a maniac can get exhausting, ya’ll! But I gave up Red Bull for New Year’s so what the heck am I suppose to do when my energy drops? Kanye West thinks he has the answer.

Rumor has it that the rap star is teaming up with Guru — the 100% natural and organic beverage company — to create a new line of  energy beverages that will keep the juices flowing!

In a press release about the new parternship, Kanye said: ”I express myself through music, fashion, art, and design, and that’s why I am excited to collaborate with Guru; because the brand values what I value, and I can put what inspires me into this new product.” 

While you might raise your eyebrows at a “natural” and “organic” energy drink, I must say that I’m pretty impressed with the ingredients. On their website, Guru shares their secret formula:

“Sparkling water, Organic white grape juice concentrate, Organic cane juice concentrate, Lemon juice concentrate, Natural flavors, Guarana seed extract, Salt, Echinacea flower extract, Panax ginseng root extract, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract.”

Calling the Fur Police!!! Kanye West’s new love interest, Amber Rose, is pictured here sporting what looks to be a gruesome fur pelt at The Metropolitan Opera House’s 125th Anniversary Gala. Kanye is no stranger to fur and was even included on PETA’s “Worst-Dressed” list of 2009. But honestly, I’m a bit surprised by this.

Ecorazzi reported just last week that Kanye’s new clothing line was inspired by Stella McCartney’s use of animal-free products and that he even put his name down to receive information from PETA on animal-free fabrics and accessories.

The other surprise? Matthews was also spotted chatting with Anna Wintour — the British fashion editor & the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, and long-time PETA symbol of animal-cruelty in the industry. Would love to have heard what weas being discussed between those two — but great to see that Wintour was at least taking in Stella’s new collection.

I know it’s uncouth to tell people who you voted for, but I just had to vote for Magpie after last year’s big furry let down. You broke my heart Maggie, you broke my heart!

Still, it’s rather unfortunate in a time when Americans could use better nutrition, we’re instead treated to further crap from places like Fatburger; not to mention the impact on the planet of ingesting more meat and building up factory farming.

Kanye West has always been a bit of an enigma — after all, this is the same guy who ordered takeout from the UK last year for a meeting he was having in New York City. Sure, he participated in Live Earth, but with business ventures like this one, it’s pretty clear that PR was the only thing on his mind at that time.

Chicago, we’re sorry. We hope something a bit more healthy pops up on the scene soon.

You’ve probably already seen the ‘Be Kanye’ ads or the official Be Kanye page that is on the Absolut Vodka website, but what you probably didn’t notice was the fine print so to speak.

While there will probably never be a ‘Be Kanye’ pill on the market anytime soon, it’s good to see that if there was it would never be tested on animals. It’s good to see that Kanye West does indeed think of things other than himself.
