Last week, several celebrity tweens and adults gathered to help Leeza Gibbons plant over 100 trees at TreePeople’s headquarters in Coldwater Canyon Park. The event was the fulfillment of a promise by Gibbons to offset the carbon footprint of guests at her annual Oscar dinner and viewing party “A Night to Make a Difference.”

Celebrity guests included Sarah Clarke (Twilight, Trust Me), Claudia Jordan (The Apprentice), Olesya Rulin (High School Musical 1,2,3), Jennifer Stone (Wizards of Waverly Place), Kellie Martin (Mystery Woman), Marisa Ramirez (The Mentalist), Kaycee Stroh (High School Musical 1,2,3), Rachelle Carson (Living With Ed), Justin Martin (High School Musical 3), Alani ‘La La’ Vazquez (VH-1’s Charm School), Kris Black (The House That Jack Built) and Bruce Reynolds (BBC Breakfast).

“We’re grateful for the commitment to our local ecosystem shown by the tree planters today,” said Jim Hardie, TreePeople Director of Park Operations. “These celebrities are setting an example for their fans that ‘green’ is more than a slogan, and getting your hands dirty can be fun.”

Just a few days ago, Ecorazzi told you that Melissa spent a little one on one time with OK Magazine dishing about her recent pregnancy and using “hypnobirthing.” In the article, Melissa gives props to her friend, Kellie Martin, for introducing her to the natural birthing method.

Now it looks like Melissa and her birthing buddy are teaming up again, but this time they mean business. Hart recently told In Touch that she and Martin plan on opening a restaurant together. The ex-Clarissa Explains It All star said: “I’m taking a course on opening a restaurant at UCLA. When you’re an actor, all that downtime when you’re not working is killer, so I want to have something fun on the side that I can do.” Hart won’t reveal too much, claiming: “It’s super-secret because no one else has anything like it.”

You’ll probably remember Martin as being most famous for her role as Rebecca “Becca” Thatcher on the drama Life Goes On. She also had a three-year stint as med student Lucy Knight on ER. Today, beyond some successful movies on the Hallmark Channel, the 32-year-old actress is focused on family, particularly her 16-month-old daughter with husband Keith Christian. As is the trend with newborns, Martin can’t get enough of making baby Margaret’s life as green as possible. From the article,
