The TV personality recently visited South Africa and Botswana with her boyfriend, NFL running back Reggie Bush and her sister Khloe Kardashian. Bush is also a founding member of D.E.F.’s brand new offshoot, D.E.F.’s Athletes for Africa.

The Diamond Empowerment Fund is a non-profit international organization founded by Simmons in 2007, along with other individuals in the diamond and jewelry industries who are committed to the empowerment of Africa.

The fund’s mission is to raise money to support education initiatives that develop and empower economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource.

Complex Magazine has done it again.

Following in the footsteps of last year’s odd choice to have Mila Kunis grace the cover of their April green issue, the magazine has this time decided to go with Kim Kardashian.

Wow. Even Cloris Leachman would have been more relevant.

To give you some insight into how deeply involved Kim is with going green, consider this question posed to her during the photo shoot: “How does Kim save the world?” Her response? “How does Kim not save the world.”

I hate everyone.

Why?

Why would the producers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians seek to sacrifice the mental well-being of a chimpanzee by forcing it to live with these people? Those who have managed to glimpse the show at home are instantly rendered stupid, so I can only imagine the effects actually participating in this show would have on any animal’s sanity. Is everyone at E! Television keenly aware that the only way people will keep watching is if some poor chimp is included to “shake things up”?

As we saw from the horrific events of last week, chimpanzees and other great apes should not be treated as pets. It’s an exploitation that will be given the spotlight on this stupid show and potentially encourage others with the means to “adopt their own chimpanzee.” Here’s what Kim Kardashian said of the adoption:

It seems Kloe Kardashian’s decision to pose nude in PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked” anti-fur campaign definitely had an effect on at least one person: her own sister.

Kim Kardashian, the main star of the television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has announced that she’s dropping fur from her wardrobe. Apparently, however, it’s not because she’s concerned about where fur comes from — but more on how people think of her; especially her sister and boyfriend. From the article,

She says, “I haven’t bought anything new since Khloe did the ad.” But that might not be enough – boyfriend Reggie Bush threatened to dump her if she didn’t give up her pelts – after the pair drove past an anti-fur rally at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. She tells Eonline.com, “I was wearing a fur vest, and he was like, ‘This is humiliating. I can’t go out with you.’ We were driving past the protest and he was rolling down the window and screaming, ‘She’s in here. She’s in here.’”

Nice work Reggie Bush!

This is a fairly significant announcement, since Kim Kardashian is known to have an entire zoo of fur coats in her closet. The question remains what she’ll do with those pelts? Donate them to PETA? Plus, it will be interesting to see exactly how long this lasts — especially is she isn’t particularly concerned about how fur is created in the first place. Stay tuned.

Sharon Stone recently gave away a closet full of clothes and unused furniture to a charity for abused women. “I got a letter from (actresses) Mariska Hargitay and Hilary Swank about a charity for abused women, and here was a gigantic, refrigerator-size bag, and could I fill it with clothing,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling More magazine. Keeping up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian (who else?) was spotted wearing a “Green is the New Black” t-shirt while out and about. But wait–was that a plastic bag in her seemingly eco-friendly hand?

C’mon, Kim, you can do better than that.

Bill Cosby is teaming up with Auction Cause to get rid of a few of his famous sweaters on eBay from June 2-12th! All of the proceeds will go directly to the Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation charity — a non-profit educational organization started by the Cosby family in 1997 after the murder of Ennis Cosby, Bill’s son.

The idea for an auction came from Cosby’s daughter, Evin, who said, “My mother and father were going through a storage closet, and I happened to be there and pounced on these sweaters. I told them that the price of what some of these sweaters might sell for could make a big difference in the lives of thousands of children.”

Here’s an idea: buy a pair of Kim Kardashians pants, a top from Victoria Beckham and a Bill Cosby sweater. Now that’s hot!

Looks like Hollywood is teaming up with eBay once again for some starrific (it’s like the famous version of terrific) auctions in the name of c-h-a-r-i-t-y!

Kim Kardashian, who’s famous for nothing at all, is using a little of that undeserved fame for a good cause. Kim is working with eBay to auction off a few of her less worn outfits, including Jimmy Choo boots, Chanel bags and various designer dresses and accessories all for the sake of the Dream Foundation – a charity granting wishes to the terminally ill.

Kardashian is also offering a chance for one lucky (depending on how you look at it) bidder to win a lunch date and a shopping spree at her DASH store in Calabasas, California. She says, “It’s going to be amazing! These are some of my favorite items…Plus, (you can) bid to have a fantastic lunch with me and my sisters, followed by some personal shopping help from us at our store.” Wait, but what if a terminally ill child’s only wish is to NOT spend the day with Kim? Oh I joke.

Down the street Victoria Beckham is also taking off her clothes for a little bit of charity gold. Beckham hopes to raise $2 million by auctioning off all six of her Roberto Cavalli-designed costumes from the band’s comeback tour earlier this year.

A spokesman for Beckham says, “Victoria is putting together various ideas for the sale. She would consider offers from individuals – for the right price. It’s time for any high-rollers out there to get their checkbooks out.”

Did you hear that high-rollers? Call Victoria or Kim pronto and anti up some of that cold hard cash!
