Final Broadway Performance Of Hairspray To Raise Money For Broadway Cares

The long-running Broadway musical Hairspray is about to close its doors. To celebrate all of it’s success, the producers of the hit show are auctioning off an awesome prize package on eBay to benefit Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids — the nation’s largest industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.

The “Hairspray Final Performance VIP Package,” includes a pair of orchestra seats to the show’s final performance as well as a 14″ x 22 poster/window card autographed by members of the final Broadway company and the coffee-table book Hairspray: The Roots.

Original stars Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur are currently appearing in the show, which has been running now for 7 years!! WOW!

Tori Spelling Fights SIDS With New Charity Auction

As a mom, I can vouch for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) being a terrifying worry for anyone with kids. Research is constantly changing (Put your baby on her side! No, her back, her back! Hang her upside down with one sock on and smear organic yogurt on her forehead!) and there’s no absolute way to prevent it–or to even know what truly causes it. So I’m pretty stoked about the new Style My Stroller Campaign.

The campaign, stemming from the CJ Foundation for SIDS, is featuring strollers (donated by Maclaren) designed by Tori Spelling, Ashley Simpson, Angie Harmon and Marissa Jaret Winokur that will be auctioned off by Charity Folks to promote SIDS Awareness Month and raise some funds for the CJ Foundation. Celebs getting artsy again for a good cause… I love it.

The auction will run October 6 through 13, and you can also catch the designs on display at Babies”R” Us in New York City’s Union Square.
