Supermodel Miranda Kerr has released a new line of 100% organic skincare products — but so far, only one lucky outlet in Australia has got the goods.

Named after a type of meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, (Kerr is a Buddhist) KORA will be available exclusively at Australian department store David Jones from mid – late October 2009. The actress, recently engaged to Orlando Bloom, reportedly was very involved in the creation of the formula, name and packaging.

In terms of other details regarding the line, we’ll have them available as soon as they hit the web!

Australian model/eco-activist Miranda Kerr has hit the front cover Rolling Stone’s new green issue. The 26-year-old told News.com.au that she decided to go au naturel for the cover to raise awareness of the environment, specifically koalas. Which, coincidentally, is also on my list of things to do before I die. From the article,

“I feel strongly about the need to protect our natural environment because it supports our life – it really is that simple,” Kerr said. The day-long shoot also included a real koala named Koral, as Kerr is the face of the Australian Koala Foundation’s No Tree, No Me campaign. The campaign aims to protect koalas’ natural habitat, hence Kerr’s only prop for the shoot is a chain locking her to a tree. “It’s a sad thing – there are only about 100,000 koalas left in Australia,” Kerr said. “Something like 80 per cent of the koalas’ habitat has been destroyed since Europeans arrived in Australia.”

Look for Rolling Stone’s first-ever green issue to hit this month.

A myriad of celebrities — including Justin Timberlake, Bill Murray, Huey Lewis, Michael Bolton, and Kevin James — participated in the 3M Celebrity Golf Challenge yesterday. About $29,000 in charity cash was up for grabs to the winner — which ultimately went to Bolton and James on the last putt. Some of Australia’s biggest stars participated in a telethon yesterday to help raise money for those affected by the horrible brush fires raging there this week. According to E!, “Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman, Mel Gibson, Rachel Griffiths, Orlando Bloom and his model-girlfriend Miranda Kerr, Ellen DeGeneres and a host of musicians like k.d. lang, politicians and sports legends, all of whom sent appeals asking for money on behalf of the Nine Network’s Australia Unites telethon.” Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban personally donated $300,000. We’re so awesomely terrible at these wedding rumors (see: Jen and John planing a green wedding), that I wouldn’t be surprised if The Sunday Telegraph is once more setting us up for disappointment.

According to their exclusive information, Orlando Bloom and longtime girlfriend Miranda Kerr are engaged. “The wedding is planned for the middle of next year, when both have a break from work commitments,” the article states. “Bloom and Kerr, who live together in New York, celebrated their engagement with a romantic getaway in Venice last week.”

Will there be a green wedding? Will Kerr finally get that vegetable patch, gaggle of kids, and a solar-powered home? Will Stella McCartney design her dress?

Jesus, I need a drink. Don’t be surprised if publicists for both shoot these rumors down. More info available here.

So, it’s a bit of a bummer to hear Kerr talking about her jet-setting ways in the latest issue of Page Six Mag. “In the last 22 days I’ve been to eight different countries,” she said regarding her job as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. “Honestly, I’m always on an airplane. I spend a lot of time on beautiful little islands, but generally its one day here and then flying, then one day there, then fly. But I feel very grateful to have so much work, especially with the economy how it is.”

I wonder if Kerr is approaching David Beckham’s 250,000 miles in the air record from last year? It’s estimated that this contributed to one of the largest carbon footprints in history.

Like previous interviews, Kerr opens up about an eventual family — and her desire to have it be an eco-friendly affair. “I’ve always wanted kids, so…someday…eventually, yes, it will happen.  My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch. When this is all over that’s where I’ll be.”

Hopefully, that happens soon. Till then, here’s to the optimistic thought that VS flies all their models commercial…

In the latest issue of Madison Magazine, model Miranda Kerr is featured wearing a very PETA-esque bikini made of leaves. Makes me reflect back on that lettuce actress Maggie Q wore to promote the vegetarian lifestyle.

Anyways, the current flame of Orlando Bloom say she’s a “hippie at heart” and works hard to reduce her impact. “I always pull plugs out of the wall when I’m not using appliances, ride my bike everywhere in New York and am passionate about organic food,” she told the magazine.

Orlando Bloom take note: Your girlfriend Miranda Kerr has made a tidy list of expectations for the future. While attending the on-going Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Kerr let drop her green needs saying,

“Ten years from now hopefully I’ll be living in a solar-powered house with my vegetable garden out the back. And I’m hoping it will be somewhere that has a bit of countryside and a little bit of water — whether it will be a lake or an ocean — and hopefully I will have three children, a nice hammock and a big bathtub.”

Is that tub for Orlando and his smelly dog?

Kerr, a famous model/actress, has been dating Bloom for several months — making the two an eco-dream couple. The Pirates of the Carribean star has a solar-powered home in London and has also been actively involved in Global Green USA and initiatives driving awareness of climate change.

Anyways, according to several sources, it appears that Matthew McConaughey is the water-conservation type as well. The topic came up after McConaughey revealed to a friend why he fell in love with girlfriend Camila Alves. “He said he finally met a girl who can go without a shower for a week – someone he can go mountain climbing and hiking with,” Pamela DePalma, president of DePalma Enterprises, which represents Camila’s new venture MUXO handbags.

According to Cele|bitchy, “McConaughey is known for going au natural and has not worn deodorant in 20 years. He told Playboy magazine that he refused to put on a rock crystal deodorant that his costar Kate Hudson tried to get him to wear while they were filming Fool’s Gold.”

The new trend in Hollywood? Ladies, could you stand a date with these guys regardless off their eco-friendly water ways?

While we’ve no doubt the credibility of this rumor (it came from an ‘anonymous’ source who revealed all to the cradle of truth known as The Star), we thought you might be interested to know that Orlando Bloom smells. This, according to on-again, off-again girlfriend Miranda Kerr (wait a minute, what happened to Rumer Willis?) who insists the star needs to raise his standards of personal hygiene. Here’s the DL,

“‘Miranda thinks Orlando is too smelly. Recently, she asked him if he could wash his clothes and perhaps shower more often.” When he’s not working on a film, the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 31, ‘goes days without washing his clothes,’ adds the source. ‘He’ll wear the same jeans for a week before he throws them in the washer. Same goes for his sweaters, T-shirts and socks.’”

The source also add that Orlando doesn’t help matters by sleeping with his dog, Sidi, and allowing her to slobber all over him.

So ladies, there you have it. If you can get past his man smell, good looks, love for animals, and eco-friendly water conservation habits, we’re pretty sure you’ll find a decent human being under there. Anyone out there willing to help him with his laundry?
