Ticketmaster and Denny’s are about to totally get it from the Morrissey crew.

On recent ticket orders for Morrissey’s upcoming west coast gig,  Ticketmaster has allowed Denny’s to run a cross promotion offering a free hamburger. Why isn’t this okay? Only because Morrissey is one of the most outspoken vegetarian celebs ever!

Earlier this year, Morrissey banned all food that “used to have a face” from his concert hall and even walked off stage once because he was annoyed with the meaty smell from the crowd.

No word yet on if Morrissey knows about this promotion, but we’re pretty sure he’s going to FLIP when he does.

Pam — We love the idea. Just to appeal to a wider audience, perhaps you could have some male guest cooks as well — like Morrissey in a speedo or Joaquin Phoenix as a shipwrecked beach bum. We’re just sayin’.

For those who thought he might be joking, look no further than what happened this weekend at the Coachella music festival.

Apparently, Morrissey was performing through his first set when a meaty smell started wafting through the crowd. The ardent vegetarian said, “I can smell burning flesh and I hope to God it’s human.” Wait, human? Morrissey then walked off the stage in the middle of Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others.

He returned a short time later and explained, “The smell of burning animals is making me sick. I just couldn’t bear it.” Thankfully for the crowd, Morrissey then continued his set.

Hardcore, Morrissey. Hardcore. I need to see this guy in concert.

Case in point was his most recent gig at Webster Hall in NY this week. From the article,

“The ardent vegetarian – whose second album with his former group The Smiths was titled ‘Meat Is Murder’ – demanded the Webster Hall venue be a meat-free zone before, during and immediately after his performance on Wednesday night. A source said: ‘There were no deli sandwiches, sushi, pepperoni pizza or anything else that used to have a face. Even the cleaning staff were happy to do their part by bringing in veggie sandwiches for lunch.’”

Apparently, Morrissey also prohibits his staff from eating meat and will fire anyone on the spot if caught doing so.

Badass man, absolutely badass.

The actress participated in the nude for one of the org’s anti-fur ads — and, judging by recent comments, would be more than willing to do it again. This time, however, she’s got a specific partner in mind to tango au natural with.

“I really want to do a PETA ad with Morrissey, I’d be happy to do it naked if need be,” she told the UK Sun. “I’ve done a lot of work with them and I know Morrissey is a big supported of PETA, so here’s hoping! Whether Morrissey would want to get naked with me is another question. Maybe he could come up with something more creative than out-and-out nudity.”

Singer Steven Patrick Morrissey is a long-time supporter of animal rights — with his “Meat Is Murder” album having inspired many fans to pursue veggie alternatives. Mendes admits that she’s had a crush on the performer for a long time. “When he sings it’s poetry in motion to me. It completely speaks to me. I love Morrissey, but I don’t think I’d want to marry him,” she added.

Ball is in your court, Morrissey! Not sure how many guys would want to turn down a “let’s get naked for a good cause” invite from Mendes. Make it so!

Apparently, Clooney donated $300,000 — or the equivalent of two eco-friendly, sustainable homes. Currently, the Make It Right Foundation has raised enough for 81 out of the 150 homes needed.
