Paul McCartney Records Divorce Song About Heather Mills On New Album

It seems that merely mentioning the name “Heather Mills” on this site creates a comment controversy that I kind of love. Ecorazzi reported earlier that, along with us, Heather will be attending AR2008 and receiving an award for her activism work. And it seems that Heather really began to cultivate that activist mentality while married to green living, long-time vegetarian Paul McCartney. As everyone knows, the marriage ended in a bitter divorce in 2006 and Paul has kept pretty quiet about the whole thing…until now.
McCartney has decided to break his silence with a new song, titled My Soul, which will be featured on Nitin Sawhney’s upcoming album London Undersound. Apparently, the lyrics of the song reference the former couple’s struggle with the paparazzi and “secrets” that were kept from him. He sings; “I want to know all your secrets. How could this steal all these feelings? How could they lie to the world? A picture away from your smile. One heart replaced. Feelings displaced. Invade our space.”
A source recently told British newspaper the Daily Mail, “What the song shows is that Paul just feels sorry for her. He feels sorry that she was never able to tell him the full truth about her past life. Paul knows Heather is a complex person, and deeply misunderstood, but she has hardly helped herself by being less than transparent about her life.”
London Undersoundis is set to be released on October 13th, 2008 and besides McCartney it will feature such artists as Faheem Mazhar, Imogen Heep, and Anoushka Shankar.
