Coca-Cola’s going green? I really doubt it, but they seem to be making some efforts: they’re giving every athlete at the Olympics a t-shirt or visor made from cotton and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (yeah, the stuff their product comes in). These items are from their new “sustainable fashion” line, which, though I’m still skeptical, would be a really cool thing from them. Not to mention a good money move, right? Selling products, getting their containers recycled–then using them to sell yet another product?

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon is hosting a two-day celebrity charity event before Super Bowl XLIII at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The celebrity golf tournament (yep, another one!) will be benefiting the Wounded Warrior Battalion, the Lynda McMahon Ferguson Memorial Foundation for Literacy and the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund. Though the official list of star players hasn’t been announced, invites have been given to Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Brett Favre, and others.

Famous and fabulous eco designer Katherine Hamnett is saving the sea. Celeb fans of Hamnet, such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Naomi Campbell, might be interested in her new line of ethical-as-ever shirts associated with the Environmental Justice Foundation’s campagin against pirate fishing. “We get 98% of our oxygen from the sea; the sea is dying because of pollution and environmental degradation,” says Hamnett. Parker, 43, has sported her trademark chin mole in films from The First Wives’ Club to Sex in the City. While the press has been going ga-ga over Parker’s new smooth slick chin–and the lack of a big announcement that the mole bit the dust–I say you go, Sarah J, and ride off into the setting sun as you fight cancer.

This handsome hollywood gent is joining a long lineage of Hollywood supporters including Lucy Lieu, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Alyssa Milano in supporting UNICEF as a goodwill ambassador. Orlando Bloom recently took part in a four day UNICEF-supported visit to Nepal where he visited several programs for children in the western districts of Kaski and Chitwan.

According to reports:

In Pokhara village, Mr. Bloom mingled with over three dozen blind girls and boys. He also played a small role in a mini-drama the children were recording that day for the UNICEF-supported radio programme ‘Saathi Sanga Manka Kura’ (Chatting with My Best Friend).

Looks like a friendly game of balloons and bubbles at a Himalayan village brought out Orlando’s inner child, and probably a few smiles from some children in the process.

Alas, Britney turned 26 this past weekend and celebrated in grand-fashion at the Scandanavian Style Mansion in Bel Air, Calif. The former pop star (and I mean that — the sun has set, folks)  received $30,000 in fur coats, a $10,000 diamond and gold ring, $4,000 in Barito brand sunglasses and various t-shirts and hair products.

The $30K in fur coats might seem a little odd until you consider who was hosting the party:  None other than Sharon Stone. (Insert lightning, thunder)

Now, we’re going to approach this story with a little caution since some sites are reporting that Spears’s jacket is faux-fur while others believe it’s the real deal.  Sharon Stone’s history leaves very little to question, as she also arrived in a full-fur coat made from a pack of foxes.

In other fur news, dlisted is reporting that Sarah Jessica Parker was also seen sporting a fur jacket at screening of Revolver last night in NYC.
