If you’ve ever wanted a piece of Spice Girls history, then Melanie Brown (aka, Scary Spice) has got what you’re looking for. The singer announced on Perez Hilton that she’s putting some of the items from her career as a Spice Girl — and her stint on Dancing with the Stars — to benefit charity. “100 percent of what you bid on these clothes is going to two charities,” Mel said in a video clip. “One is LA Children’s Hospital and the other one is Meals on Wheels so you get to help the young and the elderly.” [More info...]

Celebrities helped raise more than $80K for Mekhi Phifer’s youth charity, The Vine Group, by participating in the 7th Annual World Poker Tour Invitational last weekend. Stars throwing down dollars included Jon Hamm, Brad Garrett, Don Cheadle, Shanna Moaklar, Nicky Hilton, Rikki Lake, Shannon Elizabeth, and Benji Madden.

One of the shirt/suit/tie ensembles worn by Sean Penn in his Academy Award-winning portrayal of real-life hero Harvey Milk has been auctioned off for $12,500. The money is to benefit benefit both Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California and the Hetrick-Martin Institute, home of the Harvey Milk High School, in New York City. Everyone loves a superhero, right? Well Shannon Elizabeth, best known for her role as Nadia, a sexy foreign-exchange student in the film American Pie, has shown her superhero powers by starting a non-profit animal rescue organization, called Animal Avengers.

The Animal Avengers rescue homeless animals, pay for veterinary care, plus find foster and adoptive homes for animals. Because they are a no-kill organization, AA is dedicated to finding a home for every single animal they rescue. WOW!

To help fund the organization, Shannon sells autographed photos and official Animal Avengers gear. She even raised $50,000 for the group by participating in a celebrity poker match.

Celebs to Sign Mugs for Breast Cancer

If your dream in life is to sip a chai latte in an oversized pink mug signed by Shannon Elizabeth, you’re in luck. Along with Elizabeth, Debra Messing, Susan Lucci, Joel Madden, Christina Milian, Jesse Metcalfe, Melody Thomas Scott, Julianne Hough and other celebs have signed their own Nonni’s Biscotti mug for charity to be auctioned off this October.

Ninety mugs will be auctioned in all. All proceeds are benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and if you buy a box of Nonni’s Biscotti during the campaign, 75 cents of each purchase will also go to the charity.

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, bidding will start on the mugs October 1 and will run the entire month.
