Soleil Moon Frye, previously famous for her role as Punky Brewster on the 80’s sitcom, is expanding the scope of her green baby empire with the launch of a new eco-clothing line for tots.

The new threads will carry the same name as her green baby shop in Los Angeles, The Little Seed. Moon and her business partner Paige Goldberg Tolmach decided to create the new line after having trouble figuring out what to put on their kids. “Both our kids had allergies, and we wanted to create an eco-alternative that they could wear that would be incredible, it would be colorful,” she told The Insider. “We wanted to kind of spin the concept of organic upside down and really create something that was vibrant and beautiful and colorful and filled with life, and happy and cheerful. From beginning to end it’s been the most amazing process.”

Among the celebrities in attendance at Moon’s launch for the clothing line were Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore. Look for the new Little Seed eco-clothing to hit the site soon.

We love Twitter — not just because we get to communicate with people in 140 characters or less (Soon, everyone will speak this way too) but because it also gives us yet another insight into what some of our favorite green celebrities are up to. The former Punky Brewster (we can’t help but mention it) is one solid green momma — with an eco-friendly baby shop in LA (and online) called The Little Seed. Frye is definitely a Twitter addict and streams out several tidbits a day. Our most recent favorite? “My daughter Poet just told me that she doesn’t like our wall paper paper. She wants us take it down + I’m actually considering it. She’s 3.”

If you’re one of the few people actively stalking Ed Begley Jr, you’ll enjoy his Twitter feed — which pretty much let’s you know what events he’ll be at in the coming days. Sure, it’s pretty stale — but we have high hopes that he’ll soon start chatting about solar ovens, violent encounters with Bill Nye the Science Guy, and/or those semi-funny Dish TV ads I’m always seeing him in.

The 58-year old billionaire is one of our greener capitalists — with several eco-initiatives and projects underway to help fight climate change and push us towards renewable technologies. Our favorite tweet so far? “Arianna Huffington and I chatting on Virgin America’s inaugural flight to OC. Have put my trousers back on.”

This groovy jam creator is also a hardcore vegan and animal rights activist. Needless to say, his Twitter snips are funny and bizarre — with everything from where he’s headed for some vegetarian chili to what the Empire State Building looks like covered in clouds. Our most recent favorite: “Last night I went to rev jens book party and saw a woman make paintings with her vagina. Also an all elf go-go dance troupe. I love rev jen.”

Ok, enough with the April Fools jokes — this one is for real!

When I first heard early news reports that Amazon.com had launched a new eco-friendly baby store called “The Little Seed”, I was like, “Oh man, Soleil Moon Frye is gonna lay the smack down!”. Of course, on closer inspection, it appears that Amazon has partnered up with Frye to help sell her ‘Little Seed’ collection through their giant online outlet. What a fantastic opportunity for her business — and a great way to get even more green baby products out there to the masses.

While there’s no mention of Soleil’s name — there is small clue at the bottom right of the page with an image of her “Little Seed Blog” url. I guess Amazon won’t let her link directly to her official site?

Frye and Goldberg have been married for 10 years.

In honor of the occasion, the couple planted a a pomegranate tree in the garden — and also sent guests home with their very own trees to plant. “Besides the days my children were born – and my first wedding – it was the best night of my life,” Frye, who co-owns L.A.’s eco-friendly children’s boutique, The Little Seed, tells PEOPLE.

Last week, In Touch magazine featured some shots of Soleil’s beautiful eco-friendly nursery. On the official Little Seed Blog, you can see additional photos, as well as find out where to pick up some of the cool green accessories shown. Also, congrats to The Little Seed store on their one-year anniversary!

Not one to be outdone, Halle Berry recently spent $60,000 greenifying her new baby’s three nurseries (cause one isn’t enough). One source reported that she ordered everything from the sheets to the stuffed animals to be made with cotton that had never had a mist of pesticide on it.  And that, ” She’s obsessed with organic.” The organic craze doesn’t stop there!

Green baby lovin has hit reality television too. Trista and Ryan Sutter from ABC’s The Bachelor decided to go green with their nursery and used the help Lisa and Ron Beres from GreenNest.com to assist them. In the past, GreenNest.com has helped celebs like Chelsea Handler, Kelly Rutherford and Sally Jessy Raphael take the green route and insist that even people on a tight budget can make simple changes for a healthier home.

Okay, I’m way too young to have kids, but you better believe that when I finally do become a dad I’m totally gonna be the most organic, green, eco, earthy parent on the block…that is of course unless I live next to one of Halle Berry’s  three homes!

After performing at the Rio De Janeiro leg of Live Earth, rocker Lenny Kravitz almost decided not to come home. The musician planned on staying for a week, but ended up living for four months on a remote farm. Said Kravitz, “There was no stress, less time spent on decisions. And I reconnected with knowing that God gives you everything you need. But I came out of the jungle and I came back with a fresh outlook”. [via femalefirst]

Pink may have led the media blitz, but musician Chrissie Hynde led the rally for a PETA protest in Central Park to encourage tourists not to support the carriage-horse industry. “I got hitched to Jim Kerr (Simple Minds) in a horse drawn carriage in New York. The marriage didn’t last and I hope the carriages meet the same fate.” [via PETA]

Finally, this is not green — but I found it hilarious. Comedian Sarah Silverman gave significant other Jimmy Kimmel a video-gift for the 5-year anniversary of his Jimmy Kimmel Live show. For those that don’t know, there’s a running joke on the show where Matt Damon is continuously insulted in various, creative ways. Let’s just say, Matt has had the last laugh. Check it out here.
