Almost a year ago, Ecorazzi heard a rumor that Captain Planet was coming back with a live-action movie. This of course made me stupidly happy as I was a huge fan of the show in my younger days! But just a month after we got our hopes up, the whispers were proved false and the world shed a collective tear. But wait!

While Captain Planet still might be on hiatus from filming any NEW episodes, for the next 12 months, the Mother Nature Network will unveil more than 20 episodes of this classic cartoon as well as some pretty rad never-before-seen bonus footage.

We mentioned earlier that stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Martin Sheen, Whoopi Goldberg, Meg Ryan, Sting, Jeff Goldblum and many more had all provided their voices for the original series — and this was waaaayyyy before saving the planet was thought of as cool.

Check out the clip below and make sure you visit the Mother Nature Network for some upcoming Captain Planet awesomeness!

While running on the treadmill this morning, I happened upon today’s episode of The View and heard Whoopi Goldberg introducing a HYSTERICAL story that I thought all you wonderful Ecorazzi readers would just LOOOOVVVEEE to hear!

Earlier this week, hunter Randy Goodman was out deer shootin’(what the Sarah Palin?) and fired two shots, killing a 240-pound buck…or so he thought! However, seconds later the revenge-seeking deer came back to life, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called “15 seconds of hell.” The deer ran a short distance and died, after Goodman fired two more shots.

Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood. So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.

Now here at the Razz we never condone violence…but in this case we kinda condone violence. I mean come on, the deer died not the hunter, and I think it’s hysterical that Mr. Buck got in a few last seconds of whoop ass time. To quote Whoopi, “You know that man will never shoot anything again!” Hallelujah!

What a shady headline, right? Sorry, guys…I didn’t know how else to write it! On Wednesday, the ladies of the The View — also known as Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselback, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sherri Shepherd — gave their audience members a super special gift! Each person in the crowd got a $150 gift card to ebags.com to pick out a Big Buddha Handbag.

Why is Big Buddha so great? Well some of them (I repeat, SOME), like the Bonnie Bag, are totally vegan — made with synthetic PVC for that leather-look without the leather-cruelty. But wait, synthetic PVC? Is that anywhere near environmentally-friendly? Great, now I’m conflicted!

What do YOU do when you want stylish fashion that’s leather-free and also good for the planet? Do you have a favorite eco-designer that’s veggie too? Chime in and tell us what all you eco-loving, veg-eating environmentalists do for fashion!
