Top 5 Yummy Green Celeb Restaurants: Paul Newman’s Dressing Room
Paul Newman, the charitable Hollywood legend who started Newman’s Own salad dressings, opened up his first restaurant in Connecticut just under two years ago. The eco-friendly eatery is called, appropriately enough, The Dressing Room and features locally grown food and natural, organic ingredients. And we’re sure, plenty of Newman’s Own.
In terms of green building, the site includes recycled barn wood walls, a fieldstone fireplace, and soap and towels that are biodegradable. Newman also helped fund the $18 million dollar restoration of a neighboring theater, and also supported the weekly farmer’s market that’s held in its parking lot each week.
