Vegan and raw food enthusiast Woody Harrelson used to plug his super healthy diet all the time. Now, the actor has stopped all the verbal vegan love and instead lets his healthy physique sell it for him.

Harrelson told Metro UK in an interview for his new film “The Hunger Games”, “I try not to preach about diet any more. I used to do that because I see so many people eating s***. Now I just let people see my energy and how strong I stay.”

The 50 year old star certainly looks amazing. As for how the star got ready for his role in the sure to be box office hit, he said, “I eat only raw food when I’m working because I need my energy, so there are some areas where I wasn’t being true to character because Haymitch would eat anything.”

In addition to talking about his own anarchistic ways compared to the world in “The Hunger Games”, Harrelson also discussed his fears about the future here in this time line. “It’s pretty bleak because even though there’s a groundswell of consciousness about what’s going on ecologically, there doesn’t seem to be any correlation with what governments and the marionettes to the governments are doing about the industrialists. Plus, we’re on a collision course with some tremendous ecological disasters.”

Using only solar power at his house, Harrelson certainly puts his eco-friendly alternative energies where his mouth is. That’s one of the reasons he’s on our secret list of favorite eco-celebs. (There is no list. Maybe.)

Those beautiful blue eyes could melt my heart in a glance. He seems like a very approachable easy going guy though. I’ve never noticed any “I’m the center of the universe” vibe from him, like many other celebs.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
