The Environmental Media Association announced that it will honor Matt Damon and Hayden Panettiere this fall at the organization’s 23rd annual Environmental Media Awards.

Damon will receive the Ongoing Commitment Award for co-founding Water.org, an organization whose mission is to provide clean drinking water and sanitation for people all over the world.

He hopes the award will bring attention to the organization’s efforts “to bring clean water to communities around the world and inspire new friends and partners to join the fight.”

Panettiere will receive the Futures Award, which recognizes young celebrities for their potential to become environmental activists. She is the international spokesperson for the Whaleman Foundation, an oceanic research and conservation group.

The actress is excited to talk about her work with the foundation and to be “using my voice to protect our oceans and their amazing inhabitants.”

The awards ceremony will take place on Oct. 19 in Burbank, California.
