We’re all pretty stoked about Jay-Z and Beyonce‘s decision to take on a vegan diet for 22 days, but what we’re all extra-eager to hear about is: What are they eating?!

The power couple are off to a great start. Beyonce posted some pics of the first day’s meals on Instagram with the hashtag “22dayveganchallenge.”

And then the couple celebrated Jay’s birthday at the Los Angeles location of the infamous raw vegan restaurants, Cafe Gratitude. According to TMZ, the couple feasted on fresh fruit-and-veggie juices; entrees that included marinated kale salad, Indian curried lentils, and corn tacos with chipotle butternut squash; and then Jay made his birthday wish over a raw chocolate truffle.

To wish Jay-Z a happy 44th birthday, and to support him in his plant based experiment, The Humane Society of the United States gifted the couple with a meal at the famous NYC eatery Candle 79. Michelle Cho, Vice President for the HSUS Los Angeles office, said, “It a birthday gift and a token of encouragement for moving towards a more humane diet.”
