Suzy Amis Cameron – already known for creating one of the world’s greenest elementary schools, pushing ethical fashion into the spotlight with her Red Carpet Green Dress contest, living a vegan lifestyle, and expanding her many-thousand-acre farming operation with her family in New Zealand – is now interested in launching a sustainable fashion line.

Where does one find the time?

Like many startups, Cameron tells Vogue that she’s pursuing the idea as a result of not finding anything she likes in the marketplace.

“I really want to find clothes that I can wear and am also at a place of desperation that is driving towards research and developing my own clothing line.”

Now in its fifth year, the Red Carpet Green Dress contest (which pairs budding ethical designers with an established fashion house) has added a menswear component. Winners and their designs will be publicly revealed during the red carpet for the the 86th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Vegandale Brewery offers the ultimate vegan night out

This brewpub helps veganism shed its stay-home-and-eat-tofu stereotype.

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
