It looks like “X-Men” star Famke Janssen is putting her superhero skills to good use when it comes to animals and the environment.

The actress, who currently stars in Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove,” is revealing some top-notch beauty and fitness secrets. If you too want to look ageless like Janssen, the key is to adopt a vegan diet and to stop drinking water out of plastic bottles.

Famke recently said that she’s vegan, which contributes to her healthy and compassionate lifestyle. She said, “I work out whenever I can and I don’t eat meat or dairy.” She added, “When you get that close to an animal [like her dog Liquorice], things change and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a dog or a chicken or a cow – they all have feelings and all have emotions.”

As we mentioned, the actress also avoids drinking out of plastic bottles. Not only are plastic water bottles bad for the environment, but it’s believed by some that chemicals can “leak” into the water. The result? A toxic build-up in your body. Is that why Janssen tries to refrain from using them? She recently alluded to just that when discussing how she stays fit. She said, “I drink a lot of water, but try not to drink out of plastic bottles.” Whatever the reason, good for her!

You go girl!

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.
