Lecture TONIGHT, Vegan Food & Drink Festival TOMORROW

Like us on Facebook:

The long wait is over, and Toronto’s only celebration of 100% vegan comfort food and drinks is back! It’s going to be a very vegan weekend, people.

Tonight, we kick it off with a little education. Will you join us at our free lecture with Gary Francione? We’re discussing veganism as a moral issue, and looking at how the current animal rights movement is failing animals. There’ll be a one hour presentation, followed by a Q&A.  For those who can’t join us, a video will be made and shared following.

Then, tomorrow, over 70 vendors will take over Fort York Garrison Commons for the afternoon you’ve been waiting all summer for. Ecorazzi is proud to host our second annual event which promises all the hot food, sticky desserts and craft brews you can handle. There’s a complete vendor list available on our festival website, but you can check out a sneak peek of what you’re going to fill up on below.

Local Vendors

We are privileged to have some of the cities best and brightest vegan vendors in attendance. Doug McNish returns with his polenta poutine and Dragons-Den-crushing Yamchops has a new item to share. You know Tori’s Bakeshop, Animal Liberation Kitchen, and Wood & Water are all excited to return! Too many choices, really….especially with Doomie’s multi-booth return!

You thought we’d follow up the Mac Daddy with only one incredible new item? Catch your jaw as it drops, because we’re also bringing a second Vegan Food & Drink Festival exclusive, our ‘Build a Mac’ bar. How creative are you going to get with your toppings?

We’ve got some new offerings you’re going to lose it for, too. Planta will serve you a month before their grand opening, Cinnister Vegan lets you choose your cinnamon bun toppings (hint: choose all), D-Beatstro is showing up what they’re made of (we wish we were made of donuts and philly cheesesteak) and we are bringing you exclusive vegan funnel cakes. Oh, and Rise Above, Rescue Dogs, and Karmah Restaurant are coming to town just for us. Talk about a party in your mouth. Expect to also find vegan tacos, ice cream sandwiches, and so much more!

Out of Town Vendors

Remember the two hour line you all started for Doomie’s? This seasons out of town vendors fighting for your love are Arlo’s and their Bacon Cheeseburger from Austin, Upton’s Breakroom and their Barbacoa Jackfruit Nachos from Chicago, Charlie’s Brownies from LA, Vegan tacos from Austin’s Vegan Nom, and southern comfort food from LA’s Clean South. Basically, the best of the US is invading and trying to prove there’s more than just Trump to get in a tizzy about.

No witty caption just awesome #Jackfruit tacos you should probs eat. 🌮

Everyone knows the only thing that beats patio drinking, is day drinking in a park. Come get your Goose Island Beer, Brickworks Cider, and Social Lite Vodka drink on! Rumor has it vodka and cold pressed juice are a match made in heaven, too. There’s enough iced coffee, fruit juice, and other surprises in store for those who have the misfortune of needing to stay sober.

If the incredible food and drinks are going to lull you into a food coma, than our TWO stages are going to rock you out of it! Check out our full list of incredible performers online, and make sure you don’t miss Atlas Genius at 5:30pm, the vegan brotherly duo from LA!

Marketplace & More

We heard you like vegan things that last longer than a donut (my personal record is 3 seconds). We’ve expanded our non-food vendors this season, and you’re going to hear yourself say “Oh, I need that” at least a few times. Clothing, makeup, and artwork can be yours to take home as souvenirs!

We may lose our minds for vegan food, but veganism is not a diet. We’ve expanded our marketplace at this summer’s festival, and you can find luxury bags and accessories from allTRUEist, Vegan Leather Code strapbacks, Lipstick from Nina’s Natural Beauty, Vegan Sidekick Books, Vegan Food & Drink Festival merch, and more! Get your tickets online today!

  • Absolutely amazing – well done all involved, this is an absolutely wonderful event. We will be there next year for sure.

  • Cool!

Don’t blame vegans for the shame you feel about using animals

The shame Carly Lewis claims veganism casts over her is more likely the ghosts of moral uncertainty, spectres that are more likely fish than cows, wondering how morality can possibly be used as ammunition in favour of murder.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z sell out veganism for ticket giveaway

Veganism deserves better than constantly being considered something to be bribed, dared or loosely entered into.

Month one of “the year of the vegan”

News outlets are abuzz with the promise of new vegan products, celebs, and services and how that is somehow a fresh affirmation that our world is one turn closer to being fully free from animal use.
