Revolutionary Vegan Beauty Line Launches for Melanin-Rich Skin
Celmira Amade, a student and entrepreneur from Mozambique has launched a vegan beauty ‘wonder product’ in the UK, according to Africa Fashion. It’s a plant powder hydrating face mask, the flagship product for a line of vegan skincare formulated for melanin-rich skin. TSAKA (pronounced SAKA) is leading a revolution that is two-fold, first using unique Olacaceae plant extracts from her grandmother’s traditional African beauty recipes, and doing so while combating the current insanity of “skin bleaching” creams on the market.
Amade found that her skincare had to change when she moved to England for University, where she was plagued with dryness and blemishes. Not wanting to resort to makeup, she found that nothing acceptable was available. Now, the mogul splits her time between the classroom, production, and brand development, making sure no one has the same issue.
Along with being completely devoid of animal ingredients, the TSAKA facial is preservative-free and boasts an impression one-year shelf life. And don’t get us started on the stunning packaging! One teaspoon of water is needed to formulate the mix, which promises to clean, detoxify, hydrate, and tone dark skin without clogging pores. 2% of profits have been committed to help achieve beautiful things in the communities where materials are sourced, further inspiring many not to settle for any less.
TSAKA means ‘happiness’ in the Ronga dialect of Mozambique, something her grandmother would no doubt echo as a sentiment of this ambition to drive change. Her ability to honour African beauty recipes without the use of animal-products means many more will have the opportunity to feel their best without contributing to exploitation.
The Facemask is currently available online in the TSAKA store.
